I chose the font Mikrobe Variable as part of my brand identity because I believe that it captured it's geometric shapes and clean lines give my hot sauce brand a contemporary and modern feel. It compliments the edginess and rebellious nature of the sauce, as it reinforces its bold identity.
I incorporated a cow skull and chili pepper as repetitive icons in my hot sauce brand; The cow skull is often associated with strength, resilience, and a touch of ruggedness. It evokes a sense of the Wild West or southwestern culture. The chili pepper is a universally recognized symbol of spice and heat. It conveys the core essence and communicates its fiery nature at a glance.
I chose these colors for my hot sauce brand because the combination of the black, red, orange/yellow, and white creates a visually striking and high-contrast color scheme. These colors evoke strong emotions and attention grabbing to my audience. During my approach to this project, I found that these are colors often associated with spicy and flavorful foods, as well as cultural symbols of heat and intensity.
I've focused on highlighting the spicy kick and bold flavor of my hot sauce packaging. As I fine-tune it, I'm making sure the design really shows off the fiery heat and tasty flavor of the sauce. My goal is for the packaging to catch people's eye and make them eager to try a firey challenge!
